Warranty & RMA Policies
General Terms & Warranty Period
TPM offers a limited Hardware warranty to the original purchaser of any products, that it is free from defects in workmanship and materials, while it remains under normal use and service, for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase from TPM. During the warranty period, TPM repair or replacement of any part which is in non-conformance to its specifications. The details of this process are described in the “Returned Material Authorization (RMA) Process”.
DOA And RMA Terms & Conditions
1.Defective on arrival (DOA)
1.1 Products will be determined as DOA only if they were defective in 30 days starting from the invoice date and the malfunction was not caused by abnormal use of the product, or damaged during transportation or unauthorized repairs.
1.2 TPM will determine at their sole discretion whether product’s damage resulted from an act of God, or was caused by misuse, abuse, unauthorized alteration or repair, or by external forces (including but not limited to power disturbances, host computer malfunction, installation without powering off devices, and incorrect wiring). These cases will be treated as standard Product Repair Service cases and should follow the Product Repair Service/RMA process.
2.1 Shipping will be arranged by TPM for products determined by TPM to be DOA, and TPM will pay the 2-way Delivery Cost.
2.2 If the product is not determined as DOA by TPM, the case will be treated as standard Product Repair Service case and customer have to bear the shipping charge of delivering repaired product to customer.
1.Return Product Package
Please ensure that all devices and accessories returned are well packed.
No return or repair can be made without a RMA number. TPM reserves the sole right to issue RMA numbers. No authorization shall exist until Customer is provided a RMA number from authorized TPM personnel.
3.Normal Repair Time
TPM’ normal repair time is 7 business days from the date we receive the product at TPM(Major Taiwan national holidays excluded).
If a returned unit fails pertinent product testing, TPM will repair the unit and retest to confirm that it has been restored to a functional state. TPM, at its option, may deliver to the customer an equivalent product or part to replace the defective unit; the replacement product or parts may be new or reconditioned. Any replaced or repaired part has a ninety (90) day warranty or the remainder of the initial warranty period.
TPM will not charge to repair products that are under warranty.
4.1 TPM will charge to repair products where the warranty period has expired, or have damage that is excluded from the warranty coverage. If the damage or malfunction of the product is caused by any of the following conditions, the returned product will not be valid for product replacement or free warranty repair:
(a) Not made by TPM
(b) Power disturbances.
(c) The item has been misused, misapplied, or wrongly installed.
(d) Incorrect wiring.
(e) Malfunction of the item is caused by natural disaster or Force Majeure.
(f) Damage caused in transit as a result of lack of proper packing.
(g) QC pass label is missing or broken
(h) Serial Number is missing or incorrect
(i) No Defect Found (NDF)
4.2 Freight Charge
(a)The customer is responsible for all freight charge of returning RMA products to TPM, including but not limited to, brokerage, taxes, duties and other fees if applicable.
(b) TPM shall pay the freight of delivering repaired or replaced product to the customer and reserves the sole right to use any international shipments, unless otherwise indicated, customer also pays for shipping charges.
For non-warranty repairs or services, there is a minimum of $10 charge as an inspection fee. Customer must agree to pay this amount before shipping the defective product to TPM. TPM will examine the returned hardware and send the customer a quote for the repairs, the amount of which will be based off the then-prevailing time and material rates as determined by TPM. TPM will not work on the repairs until it receives a purchase order for the repairs. If the customer chooses not to repair the hardware, the customer will be responsible for the cost of the repair estimation and for shipping the product back to the customer. TPM, at its discretion, may decide not to repair a non-warranty part.
TPM will charge to repair products which are non-warranty period, or have damage not covered by the warranty.
If repair charges will be incurred, TPM will send a proforma invoice listing all charges, and will wait for Customer’s approval before performing the repairs.
Customer is responsible for the 2-way Delivery Cost for the out of warranty repaired products, including any additional charges, such as customs duties.
3.TPM will not take responsibility for and cannot guarantee:
3.1 The return of product accessories that were shipped to TPM without an associated RMA number.
3.2 The return of products that were shipped to TPM without an associated RMA number, serial number and QC pass label on product itself in one piece.
3.3 The safe transit of the product. The Customer agrees to insure the product for its transit and take responsibility for any loss or damage to the product during transit.
In addition to the above warranty terms, Taiwan Pulse Motion, Ltd. does not provide other warranty services, and does not have any other express or implied or incidental warranty liability. Any warranty liability for the products of Taiwan Pulse Motion, Ltd. is only as described above and is in accordance with the company’s regulations; This warranty supersedes any other oral or written warranty commitment. Taiwan Pulse Motion, Ltd. hereby disclaims that the warranty liability for this product will not include all incidental, special or consequential direct and indirect damages arising out of this product, even if Taiwan Pulse Motion. Ltd. has been advised of the possibility of such damages. The warranty liability described herein is for repair, replacement or return, which is each of the warranties performed by Taiwan Pulse Motion, Ltd. in fulfilling its product warranty obligations
